Girls Trip to Paris

bakery (400x400)Paris is often considered the city of romance, but it can also be a great city to explore for a girls getaway. With countless shopping options, great food and amazing art, Paris is a fun city to explore with friends. Here are a few options you should check out if you are planning a trip to Paris with your girlfriends.

Patisserie – Calories don’t count in Paris. Ok, that’s not true, but don’t think about calories during your time away and get a good overview of the great patisserie or baked goods Paris has to offer. Make sure to test some éclairs, cream puffs, croissants and anything else you can get your hands on. Pick up a few for breakfast, or a snack while you are walking around. Ask about the specialties on offer so you know what to sample.

Dame de Canton – Looking for a night out? Why not a pirate ship turned into a nightclub? The Dame is a one of a kind club with dancing, drinks and a great way to get to know some of the locals. Get dressed up on a Friday night and come here after enjoying a gourmet French dinner.

Halem Club РLooking for a great restaurant with a real Parisian vibe? This place serves Lebanese food, but is a popular place for local parties, and the d̩cor of the beautiful dining room is very Parisian. This is a great restaurant to go to with a group of people, so if you are a bunch of girls in Paris, this is the place to go.

Speakeasy Piano Bar – This is a fun, old school nightclub to catch some soothing piano music and enjoy some old-school cocktails. The shows here do come with a cover charge, and it isn’t always cheap, but the party goes on all night and there is a ton of dancing. If you are looking for a place that is popular with the tourists, but still has a Parisian vibe, this is a good start.

Walk the streets – One of my favorite ways to enjoy Paris is simply to walk the streets. Spot the Eiffel Tower in the distance and then just make your way there. Stop and grab a pastry and listen to the music as it oozes into the streets from the clubs. Take in everything Paris has to offer and bring your camera.
